ELENA KRAUS, MD, PHD is a fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her medical training and OB/GYN residency at Saint Louis University/SSM Saint Mary’s Hospital. During her PhD in Health Care Ethics, also at SLU, her research experience supported publications in a variety of areas, including ethical behavior in medicine, medical business ethics, and professional relationships and teamwork in primary health care. In her fellowship, she plans to continue using qualitative and mixed methods to investigate high risk obstetric patients’ decision-making during their reproductive lives. She aims to use this data to develop shared decision-making models for difficult decisions within obstetrics and women’s health.

Dr. Kraus is a current scholar in the Mentored Training Program in Clinical Investigation (MTPCI) at Washington University and is pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI).
